There are reasons for fasting seasons.  God uses these to develop in us spiritual insights of the needs of others.   To strengthen areas of prayer that need to be built up, to release us into a new atmosphere of change. This change in our souls’ climate will make our prayers change us more than that which we pray for.  Truly our fasting does not earn us favor, love or standing with God.  There are newfound appreciations and joys of God and His qualities that we can now realize when a focus on getting what others need.  Developing an appreciation for fasting is key to vitalizing the spiritual conquest of our own appetites which hinder us from thirsting for God.  Praying in this season is what allows us to desire God and endure the pain of self-denial.  This will liberate the mind to press into Him and prove to yourself that God is all you need.  We then become spiritually sensitized to recognizing and experiencing the miraculous in our everyday lives.

Fighting the hindrances to apprehending our answers to our prayers, This fight is activated in the spiritual realm where ideas and imaginations of the heart are formulated. Daniel saw the prince of Persia defeated by the archangel Michael because of his 21 days of fastings.  The physical and spiritual cleansing free up our energy and emotional alertness.  This alertness will allow us to pray for those things that are the best and not just the good.   There will become an increase of temptation in areas that we find our weaknesses.  The immediate perusal of the will of God abates the urge and will create a fortress from them. Practicing makes perfect in this exercise of fasting.  The extraction of forces of evil in your own life and the life of others makes fasting a weapon of choice for this kind of Pray-er.  It is true that these kinds of answers received will be far more fulfilling than those for selfish gain. Daniel was visited by God and Angels because of his words.  They were convincing words of the need of God for the people.  God was impressed by his words.  I do believe they were the words and the reasons he had chosen for the words.  They have planned words as well as impulsive words.  They were articulate words as well as inarticulate.  They were weighty and heavy words.  One who knows how to talk with God gets what they need of Him.  The end of fasting brought terror around Daniel.  The terror was felt by those close to him. Daniel was convinced that i.t was not an illusion nor imaginations due to tot he fact that others were emotionally and physically affected.  There are always visible signs when God shows up.  The visitation was the bringing of a prophetic word to Daniel.  The vision of God was a revelation of Jesus as in Revelation 11 to John of Patmos.   Our strength will be tested and the reliance on it to be specific will be tried.  The words from Daniel in Gods presence were few, and after the vision, his body was frail and would slumber under the intensity of the pressure of his visitation.  God is no need of our will’, strength or our mind.  The angel Gabriel then would touch him and give him the strength to stand, yet trembling.  God is in the business of His Kingdom and its expansive power.  The angels will tell Daniel of the words he spoke and how they were connected to Gods desires.  God had sent the angels in response to Daniels prayer.  The message the angels had for Daniel were comforting and prophecy.  The andgels battled in the heavens to fufill Gods Word in Daniels life.

The blessing of fasting is to have the right words in the asking of God.  To have an eternal perspective on your requests.  The destruction of kingdoms of darkness in your area of influence.  To have a  humbler and more contrite heart.  God will take us to a place where the pride we have in those things on earth or in heaven will be asphyxiated by the presence of His love for you.  Daniel could not breathe without angelic assistance after the vision.  Daniel would formulate and have new everlasting relationships.  Fasting will have you make connections and commune with angels unawares. The persons of spiritual interests will find you in your desire to pray.  Like a spiritual antenna, others of likemindedness will cross your path without your conscious efforts. Divine appointments to pray will be created.  The gifts of those will allow encouragement and strength for the war.  Daniel was enlisted into the comradery of the heavenly soldiers of celestial warfare.  God will enable you to have friends in high places.  The angels’ words that were spoken to Daniel were of the future, of others and not directly for himself.  God gives us a word for others in this season to understand His dominion and sovereignty.  The things God allows us to know will be greater than the things He allows us to own when we realize the direct correlation for His will they serve.

In conclusion, my desire for all is that the words that we choose to use for the purpose of praying will be transformed by this season of fasting  Praying down strongholds, praying for healing, praying for miracles and all other divinely appointed reasons birthing in this season your strong dependence and reliance on God.   I pray your taste for what is possible is exchanged for a taste of what is impossible.  I hope that the prophetic vision and words that you receive become actions claiming Gods authority and Kingdom for His will.  May you entertain angels who are in the battle with you.  May your circle of spiritual influence grows to territories and countries that need your prayers.  In all these things separate yourself for His design for your life of prosperity in ministry of His Word/
